As has been reported previously, on Monday morning, May 23, lawyer Vitaly Braginets was detained at his home. Today, an administrative case was considered in the Partizansky District Court of Minsk (N. Dedkova was the judge). As it turned out, a protocol was drawn up on V. Braginets that he was taken to the police department of the Partizansky district "to check for engagement in protest activities," whereupon the lawyer allegedly began swearing, shouting, and trying to leave the police department – that is to say, he disobeyed the lawful request of a police officer (which is prohibited under Art. 24.3 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses). The court considered that the offense was sufficiently proven, and sentenced Vitaly to 15-day administrative imprisonment.
