Based on the certification results, Larisa Atamanchuk, Vitaly Braginets, and Ilona Zalutskaya were disbarred due to being subjected to disciplinary penalties (expulsion from the Minsk Regional Bar Association) for “misconduct incompatible with the lawyer’s title”.
Attorney Vitaly Braginets was detained on May 23, 2022. On May 25, administrative proceedings took place*, resulting in the decision to impose administrative detention for 15 days for “disobeying a lawful request of a police officer”. Attorney was supposed to serve his sentence and go free on the morning of June 7, however, Vitaly is still behind bars. He was declared a political prisoner.
