Five lawyers who participated in high-profile cases did not pass certification

On September 6, the Qualification Commission under the Ministry of Justice held an extraordinary certificationof lawyers, including four attorneys from the Gomel Regional Bar. These are Gennady Vlasenko, Tatyana Savchenko, Victoria Nechay and Pavel Kulazhenko, as well as Anna Pavlyuk. The commission made a decision on the impossibility of the lawyers to fulfill "their professional duties due to insufficient qualifications."

The Qualification Commission also decided on the possibility of terminating law license of Borisov V.S. in connection with the application of a disciplinary sanction in the form of expulsion from the bar for systematic (two or more times within 12 consecutive months) violation of the requirements and conditions for the implementation of advocacy established by law by the council of the Vitebsk Regional Bar .

Lawyer Anna Pavlyuk has over 10 years of experience in her specialty, is a master of law and a lecturer at a law school. Tatyana Savchenko has over 36 years of experience in law.
